Freshly Made Sketches 1st Anniversary

For Freshly Made Sketches 1st Anniversary, they've asked us to use any of the sketches from the previous year... so I went with Sketch #1!  I was inspired immediately, and decided to do a Christmas card.  Unfortunately the Stickles that I added to the snowflakes don't show up in the photo - but they're quite sparkly in person:
Patterned papers are Wonderland; Cardstock is White Daisy & Twilight; - all CTMH; Sentiment is Seasonal Remedies, Waltzingmouse Stamps; Ink is London Fog, Memento; Large Snowflake is the Cricut Artiste cartridge, CTMH.

Dictionary card

This summer, I bought a huge dictionary for $1.00 at a used book sale...  So today I had the urge to do something a little more artsy than the norm for me.  I sponged 5 colours of ink randomly onto the page, did some tricky cutting... then tried out 3 of the paper flowers with the new Artiste Cricut cartridge.  I used Artiste to cut the vine, too - then "shadow stitched" (new technique that I thought up!) around the vine in black thread - and glued it all down with a little Baker's Twine.
Patterned papers are Lucy & Miracle - CTMH; Cardstock is Black, CTMH; Inks are Sunset, Creme Brulee, Sky, Pear & Cotton Candy - CTMH.  Baker's Twine, The Twinery.  Die cuts are from the Cricut Artiste Cartridge - CTMH.

A Big Card for Heart2Heart

This week's Heart2Heart Challenge was to make a card larger than 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"... so mine is 5 1/2" square.  I love the new CTMH burlap ribbon!  It's a trend I've been seeing all over the place.  Here's my card:

Patterned papers are Florentine; Cardstock is Twilight, Cocoa, Brown Bag & Vanilla Cream; Inks are Cocoa & Creme Brulee; Just Blooms paper flowers; Mocha Opaque Pearls; Natural Hemp; Burlap Ribbon; Stamp set is Avonlea WOTG - all Close To My Heart.

August Humble Artist's Swap

This is what I made a few weeks ago for the August Humble Artist's Swap - even with the minimum 8 layer requirement, I wanted to keep it a little "CAS" looking.... so I was a bit creative with my tag layers!  I've also seen many lovely negative die cut cards recently, so made that part of my design.
Aug 10 GUIDELINES:
-Minimum 8 layers
-Use ONLY neutrals and one colour
-Use one stamp set with the word “Background” in it
-Use one stamp set with the word “Borders” in it
-Have at least 2 other different stamped images
-Use at least 3 Art Philosophy shapes
-Minimum 3 embellishments
-Card must be at least 4 ¼ x 5 ½

and here is a view of it standing up:

Cardstock is White Daisy, Grey Mist, Grey Wool & Creme Brulee; Stamp sets are Universal Backgrounds; Abundance Borders, Card Word Puzzle & Card Chatter, Love; Inks are Grey Mist & Grey Wool; Just Blooms paper shapes; Licorice Opaque Pearls; Creme Brulee Twine - all Close To My Heart.

One Crazy Stamper

I have another project to share today as the September Guest Designer on the One Crazy Stamper store blog!  I REALLY love this project, it's probably one of my favourite things ever to make in the cardmaking world :o)  This sentiment really cracks me up... I actually bought it first, and then went back to the OCS store to get the image set to go with it.  And of course, with such a fun card, I just had to make a little cupcake pick & wrapper to go with it...
One Crazy Stamper has an amazing selection of paper, stamps and accessories... not to mention a full range of Copic products, so you may want to check out the store here!
Products available from OCS: Patterned papers are Cakewalk, October Afternoon; Stamps are Out to Lunch and Happy 29th from Art Impressions (Girlfriends line); Tuxedo Black ink by Memento; Copic Markers.
Other products: Colonial White cardstock, Red Button & Black hemp all CTMH. Pinwheel and cupcake wrapper are cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge, CTMH.

OSC Guest Designer!

Well, this is a pretty exciting post for me!  I was asked to be one of the Guest Designers for the month of September for One Crazy Stamper!  If you're not familiar with OCS - it is a fabulous online store with hundreds (thousands?) of stamps, plus all the papers, inks and doo-dads you could ever want.  They also have a full range of Copic products, with great prices, so check out the store here when you get a chance.  Now, lucky me lives only a short drive from their bricks & mortar store, so I get to go and peruse the goodies whenever I like :o)  The OCS store blog has a monthly challenge, and for September we are doing projects using Red/Black/Kraft.  I decided to do a little gift set of six 4 1/4" square cards, plus a cute little file holder to put them in:
This cute little stamp set by Inky Antics features 3 little baking penguins, and Christmas/Holiday sentiments.  And even though I fully intend to use these a few months from now, I wanted this set to be just for birthdays - so I did some creative cutting with the acrylic stamps to remove "Christmas" and just stamped a "Birthday" in it's place.  When I want to make holiday projects, I'll just position the word that I cut out back in position on the block before stamping.  Here are individual pics of the cards:
And a shot of all three:
Products available at the OCS store:  Stamp set is Baking Penguins by Inky Antics; Ink is Tuxedo Black by Memento; Patterned papers are Baby Jane Mini-Deck by Cosmo Cricket; Copic Markers; X-Press It white cardstock;
Other products: Kraft and Black cardstock is CTMH; Buttons, Brads & Ribbon all CTMH; Mini Chalkboard clips, Studio 18 at Michaels;  White pigment ink, CTMH. File Folder is the Cricut Artiste cartridge, CTMH.
