Cat Lady Try Fold Card

I haven't made a try-fold card in a while, and have been dying to use the Cat Lady TF (Sku #4340) from Art Impressions, so I had fun doing some colouring this weekend:
Here is the finished card, tied and ready to send... I tied a length of white organdy ribbon around the lower third of the card to hold it closed, and when it's untied, here is what it looks like:

Since the Copic markers bled through the white cardstock a little, I backed the inside with some fun polka dot paper, and fussy cut around the edges before mounting it all on some coloured cardstock.  There are quite a few Try-Fold sets to choose from in the Art Impressions store, you can find them all here.
Copics used: Skin/hair - E11, E00, E000, R20, R27, E57, E55, E53
Greens - G46, G43, G41, BG78, BG75, BG72, BG70
Greys - C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C00, W7, W3, W1, W00
Rusts - E09, E08, E07, E02, E50

Inspired By All The Little Things #11

It's my week as hostess over on the Inspired By All The Little Things blog!  Each week we post an inspiration photo, and invite a guest designer to join us.  Here's what I chose for this week:
I absolutely adored the title that went along with this photo on Pinterest - it said "Cupcake Tutus"!  I had started out searching for some pink tulle (I made a pink tulle crinoline for my wedding dress) but didn't have time to dive into my wedding paraphenalia from 21 years ago!!  So I went in a slightly different direction, pulling out the wonderful Cupcakes stamp set from Verve, and my new plaid Lawn Fawn papers.  I made a sweet set of four 4"x 4" cards, added a little bling and some black zigzag stitching with my sewing machine.

My guest on the Inspired By blog is the amazing Miriam Pranter - so head on over and see the gorgeous card that she made for us, as well as the creations from our fabulous Design Team.  *Miriam also has a new Craftsy class called "Fresh Eyes on your Cardmaking Supplies" and is offering all of us a coupon code for 50% off if you're interested in taking the class - here is the link: http://www.craftsy.com/ext/MiriamPrantner_10298_h
We would love to have you play along with us, so please link up your creation over on the post - you have until midnight, Thursday April 21st.
I used the colour inspiration from the April challenge on the Verve blog:

The last two Owls

*This is my 1000th blog post - wow!!
Here are the final two owl cards that I made with the recent High Hopes stamps release (you can find them here on the One Crazy Stamper website).  These are two of my favourite cards that I've made over the last while!  Here is Blinky Owl:
The stump in this one, and the branch in the card below are two of the accessories available with these little owls, as are the sentiments.  I knew that with Blinky's eyes being closed, that I wanted it to be a nightime scene, and I dug through my paper stash to find this silver starry background paper that I've had kicking around for probably more than ten years!!  And here is Happy Owl:
I tried painting a watercolour sky, and didn't like the results, so instead I made my own cloud template and sponged some pale blue ink over it - it's a little brighter in person.  I fussy cut around both the branch and the owl, and popped him & the sentiment up for a little dimension.  So head over to the OCS website to check out the entire release, and if you use SVG files, they're available for the entire collection!

More Owls

I have the next two owl cards to show you today - both are from the recent High Hopes release.  Here are Owl Trio & Sweetheart Owls:

There are six owl images, accessories & sentiments - all available through the One Crazy Stamper store.  I have one more owl post still to come!

Robe Spinner card

It's time for an Art Impressions Spinner card!  I am using Robe Spinner (Sku #4677):
I don't have the dies yet, so my gal is just fussy cut out, then glued together over a piece of sewing thread.  BUT... you can find the Robe Spinner Die (Sku #4696) here in the Ai store to make assembling your card even easier!  And if you're not wanting to make a spinner card, I made a flat version of my card using just the front image:

 Copics used: Hair & Skin - E57, E55, E53, E00, E000, E11, R20
Purples - BV08, BV04, BV02, BV01, BV00, BV000
Greens - G46, G43, G41
Pinks - R85, R83, R81
